You can take JESDUVROQ if you’re receiving dialysis in-center.

You will work with your dialysis care team to understand when you should be taking JESDUVROQ. Since you may not be in the dialysis center every day, you will need to build a plan with your care team to take JESDUVROQ daily, as prescribed.

You can take JESDUVROQ if you’re receiving at-home dialysis.

You will want to identify a time that is convenient for you to take JESDUVROQ. Make JESDUVROQ part of your normal daily medication routine.

Before starting JESDUVROQ

You and your nephrologist will work closely together to determine if JESDUVROQ is right for you. They will . . .

IDENTIFY any other reasons for your anemia.

TEST the amount of iron in your body and administer additional iron, if needed.

ASSESS the health of your liver by completing necessary blood tests.

DETERMINE your starting dose of JESDUVROQ, which will depend on your hemoglobin (Hgb) level, or your ESA dose if you’re on an ESA.

Starting your treatment

JESDUVROQ will be prescribed once daily by your nephrologist for the management of Anemia due to CKD.

JESDUVROQ has 5 different dose strengths to meet your needs. Your nephrologist will determine your starting dose based on a few factors, such as your hemoglobin (Hgb) level, or your ESA dose if you are on an ESA. Your nephrologist will adjust your dose of JESDUVROQ if needed.

It’s important to know what dosage strength of JESDUVROQ you have been prescribed.

See below for an overview of the JESDUVROQ pills, as each dosage strength is a different color.

JESDUVROQ may allow for a flexible treatment schedule:

  • JESDUVROQ is taken once daily on your schedule, as prescribed by your doctor.
  • JESDUVROQ can be taken with or without food, so find a time that works for you to take it.
  • You can also take it with iron supplements or phosphate binders, if necessary.

When you take JESDUVROQ, the whole pill will need to be swallowed. It is important not to cut, crush, or chew the pill.

Take JESDUVROQ exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to take it.

Continuing treatment

Once you’ve started taking JESDUVROQ

During your JESDUVROQ treatment, your nephrologist will:

  • Continue to monitor your Hgb to track changes in your levels
  • Adjust your dose of JESDUVROQ based on the results of your blood tests

Take time during each visit to discuss your Hgb levels and your JESDUVROQ dosage. Your doctor should monitor your hemoglobin level every 2 weeks for the first month after the start of treatment (or dose adjustment), and once monthly after that.

Keep track of your Hgb levels. This will help you have a more informed conversation with your doctor.
